Acting as an ambassador of the sport of orienteering at all times and considering how your actions may appear in the eyes of landowners or members of the public;

Observing social distancing at all times;

Use your own hand sanitizer on arrival and departure.

Please limit your time at the event to a minimum to avoid unnecessary contact with others.

Entry
Online entry only. Entries close Tuesday 15th September. No entry on the day.

Timing System
EMIT Touch-free on loan from EMIT UK. Free eTag hire.

Map
Scale 1:10,000. Contour interval 5m. Mapping by both SOC and WIM mappers 1980 to 2015. Selected revision to paths and vegetation Colin Hicks SOC September 2020.

Terrain and area
There are areas of seasonal bracken some of which will impede progress, these are not mapped. Areas mapped and shown with vertical green stripe are areas of gorse and/or low thorn bushes where bracken is also present.

The Hincheslea area is very popular with walkers, dog walkers and horse riders so please be respectful of the general public and their animals.

Facilities
Toilets are available in the car park.

Clothing and equipment
Full leg cover and footwear suitable for the terrain must be worn. Whistles must be carried. In adverse weather we may ask you to wear a cagoule or similar waterproof top. Please bring your own water or other drinks.

Dogs
Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.

Start
The start is 500m. Go through the gate opposite Registration and turn right. Please ensure that you remain socially distanced as you approach the start. A maximum of five competitors in the start area at any one time. Follow the directions of the start marshall.

On the Course
Its a touch free event - please do not touch the controls, not even with your eTag. Just hover your wrist above the control and check that the eTag flashes. Be aware of other competitors and other users. Keep your distance at all times. Give way at controls, be patient.

Finish and Download
There is a taped route from the last control to the finish. After punching at the Finish there is a 150m walk to Download. There's no need to rush, just gather your thoughts, think "social distance" and get your breath back. When you get to Download, sanitize your hands, remove your tag from your wrist and hold it near the yellow dongle by the splits printer. Take your splits print and drop your tag and strap in the crate. Make your way back to your car. Have a safe journey home.

Results
Results and Routegadget will be available on the club website.
